Mom Spends RM12,500 On Children’s Room Design in Taman Sri Hartamas

When Mdm. J and her family moved back to Malaysia, she asked our interior designer to do up her kids’ bedrooms to get them settled in.

Mdm. J is a freelance fashion makeup artist who recently moved back to Malaysia.

She and her husband wanted to make sure their children (a boy and a girl) got settled in as smoothly as possible.

To do that, she got the help of an interior designer listed on Recommend.my to decorate their bedrooms and attached bathrooms.

The children spoke with me and showed me some of their belongings so I could get an idea of their personalities. The owner also gave me some guidelines on where the beds and desks should be. But beyond that, I was given free reign to design the room.Valarie, Bonnieblue Furniture & Interiors

Boy’s Bedroom

“The boy has a quirky side to him, so I designed the room to fit his personality,” said Valarie.

A simple spotlight track and roll-up blinds were added to the windows and sliding door that leads to the airwell.

In addition, the designer combined new decorative items with a selection of the girl’s belongings to maintain a familiar feel to the room.
