Kedai Elektrik Cheah Sdn Bhd is a dishonest company. I had a bad experience with them. It seems they took advantage of the MCO to bill customers for unnecessary repairs, as customers don't have much choice knowing that the service centres are closed. I would NOT recommend them at all. During the MCO period my fridge was suddenly not cold. I contacted recommend.my & Kedai Elektrik Cheah accepted my service request. Upon arrival at my house, their technician informed me the cooling gas for my fridge needed to be refilled & this had to be done at their shop. A few days later their staff called me to inform that it was not a cooling gas problem but rather my fridge compressor & evaporator both had malfunctioned. The repair estimate was RM564. When I told them my fridge had a 10 year compressor warranty, they changed their story & replied that after checking, the estimate actually did not include the compressor repair as that was still under warranty. I had my doubts by then & informed them I did not wish to proceed with the repairs. I requested for my fridge to be returned to me, which they did a week later. I paid them RM75 for labour charges through recommend.my. After that I decided to wait until the MCO ended to contact the LG service centre for repair. Today, the LG appointed service technician came by to check my fridge. He informed me that the compressor pipe & evaporator wiring had been cut in 3 places by the previous repair shop (Kedai Elektrik Cheah). He could not even test my fridge because of this issue. He took photos of the damage for evidence. The repairs to fix this damage will likely be costly & he will give me an estimate tomorrow. Please assist me to resolve this issue. Thank you.
dear customer, regarding your case technician found compressor faulty and under mco period manufacture close and cannot be order. And the estimate cost actual rm516 was compressor (foc), evaporator assy , refill gas r600a filter welding and labour. Due to compressor faulty technician need cut the piping to test the gas first to avoid internal have gas leaking or not ? Please consider our issue
dear customer, we already check our voice recorder have mention to you under your compressor was foc and not your mention that change our story. we only need to clarify on this for avoid any misunderstanding in future and we also clarify with manufacture LG repairer for this issue. Initially, they came to repair the fridge and charged a hefty sum that broke down immediately the next day. Came back after some time to take the fridge back to the workshop and finally managed to fix it. Hope they could have fixed it the first time.

My washing machine was taken back for further repair as spare part needed, that's fine with me. However, did not give any feedback on the status even after a week. Could understand they may be waiting for supplier reply where it could be slower due to MCO. But why can't they just send in a message notifying so instead of let customer waiting and initiate the status inquiry?
I sent them a message asking for status, only able to reply after 1 day, that is after 7 days my washing machine passed to them.
The technician team who return the machine were also not as pro as expected, can't even put the machine stand in good placement. I have to correct it myself later on.

I also have a bad experience, the technician in house service don't bring any tools for faulty inspection and charge RM75, when request to refund and give a lots excuse, dishonest, unprofessional and rude.
I sent my washing machine for repair. However after repair, there's leaking at the bottom of machine. It has been a week after I've messaged and followed up with the office numerous time, however no sign of the technician. I feedback to the office, instead of following up with the technician, the receptionist just asked me to call the technician myself as if it's non of her business. I've subsequently called the technician but to no avail. Again, I feedback to the office that I couldn't get a hold of the technician. The receptionist said she would call me back but didn't return my call at all. I tried to get a hold of the person in charge, but every time I called, the receptionist would say the person is not around despite I've left a message for her to call back. All in all, it's a very bad experience I've encountered. I don't recommend this shop for others. Thanks
